Bradford University School of Management conducted a seminar on Digital Disruption in Financial Services (DDFS) by inviting Amirhossein Roshanzamir on Tuesday, 23rd October at 14.00 hrs (GMT). In this seminar, Amir discussed how technological innovation including platform, the blockchain, IoT, big data, cloud and social media disrupted financial services and generated new business models to create and co-create value and revenue.
He indicated that digital disruption is taking place at a high speed and banks and financial institutes need designers, programmers and creative thinkers to deal with this trend. Amir also argued that “Design Thinking” and “Fintech” must be embedded in the curriculum of business schools to educate the next generation of talent. In questions and answers section, Amir encouraged undergraduate students and young generation to explore the possibilities for launching their own start-ups rather than taking stable jobs.
